KPC Power is seeking a motivated and experienced POWERLINE TECHNICIAN for our growing business.
KPC Power specializes in high-voltage power system maintenance, utility construction and substation retrofits. We manage all specialties internally to ensure professional execution and complete customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Powerline Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and constructing electrical power systems, and underground and overhead infrastructure inspection programming.
Your responsibilities include:
• Inspection and maintenance of electrical power systems, including overhead and underground lines, transformers, switches, insulators, and other associated equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, such as power outages, line faults, and equipment malfunctions, to restore service as quickly as possible.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures is paramount. Powerline Technicians work with high-voltage power lines and equipment, so they must follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work closely with project managers, coordinators, and other professionals to ensure the efficient operation and expansion of electrical power systems.
• Maintain records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements, and may generate reports for management or regulatory purposes.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma
• Journeyperson Lineperson/Powerline Technician Certification (Red Seal is preferred)
• Minimum 5-10 years hands-on experience
SKILL SETS / CERTIFICATIONS
• Class AZ/DZ driver’s license
• Lift Truck Certification
• Work Protection Code Certificate
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Understand Proficiency
• IHSA Safety Training and Updates
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Field environment with travel to job sites
